stupid/hilarious

Stupid: missing the last stair and stub-bruising my big toe.
Hilarious: finding fermented juice-chunks from a thermos explosion yesterday on the petals of my new Phaleonopsis.

instead of status updates

I wish there was swearing in Grey's Anatomy. Would make it more believable and thus, would add another layer of enjoyability to the show.

Two things, maybe more:
- I want, and now need, a job
- let's live Up North, Wild & Free doncha know.

Ahh.

fog, drip, orange streetlight.

This is Burnaby Mountain, and I am frothing-over with gratitude for living here.

It is essentially what I hoped for, as a child :)

In other news, please enjoy my latest update of progress on Overly-Subtle-Hued-Bear x-stitch project.

underwater

you don't read know me

getting nervous, gonna bail
the end is coming, sad sad soppy eyes and that feeling of flatness again, it's inevitable, isn't it?

stimulating update of great importance!

L is now down for nap (in my bed, could fight it and force the crib, but as i don't plan on having any more children, figured i'd enjoy this situation for as long as it works for us). I'm on my second cup of coffee.

  • Took some garbage out.
  • Working some more on Drew's knit "toy" (some baby blocks he requested, hehe)
  • Would take out the recycling but not sure if bins "R" back yet.
  • Joe msg'd me, said it was snowing v. slightly at his bus stop in Coquitlam on his way to school. Nothing here yet, but it's turribly cold!
And Um Like Yea. Shifty eyes!

with monday

Ya gotta throw yerself into the routine, or else it's just too aimless and floatey.

Esp this morn, as M & I haven't been on great terms since Saturday (when he left birthdaypartyMe for hockey). We hugged it out, bitch, over txt, but if I allow myself to wallow & stare at the wall or the floor, I'll start to spiral down.

To that (productivity therefore happiness) end,
- tidied Drew's abominable floor a bunch
- swept kitchen
- made sesame-st inspired lunch and simultaneously received inspiration for dinner: cookie-cutter pancakes!

And I feel like there's more goodness to come, as long as I stay away from myself.

I have been thrown for a loop

I have no concept of time. Dizzy. Face way too close to the computer screen.

Distractions today did not work. Communication maxed out for the night. What else is left to do?

another day, another semester I'm not starting

It goes without saying that I would absolutely love to be starting one or both of the bridging courses for my program this week.

But we just don't have the tuition money right now, not even for just of the courses, and even though they are distance-ed, it isn't like registration is on-going.

"No rush" though, as I can't afford to start the program for another few years (per this saving scheme) anyway. "Patience", you say.

Well, maybe keep in mind what happened to the last program: canned before its first cohort had even finished, all to "save $20 grand".

So, hopefully, you can understand my impatience, my sense of urgency.
